An assigment about Persepolis

I have an assignment to rewrite the summary about Persepolis, do you guys know about this story? my lecture played this movie twice in our language lab. First watched this movie i feel bored but in the middle of this movie i feel so interested about the story.

So, this is the summary that i can write...

This story adapted from the book with the same title. Persepolis is an animation movie who created by Iranian woman named Marjane Satrapi. Persepolis tells about Marjane's childhood until she got older which covered the Iranian revolution with the atmosphere at that time.
Marjane's family are liberals who faced with the harsh rule of the Iranian government (which requires women have to wear veils, banning alcohol or music from the West and blah bla ... blah). For young Marjane, this is not fair because she is from a western cultural products (Well, Marjane is a fans of Bruce Lee, Michael Jackson and Iron Maiden). when Marijane grow to be a teenager, she is more free to express her voice against the existence of confinement in Iran. The reality, when the teachings of western imperialism exist in the Islamic countries in the Middle East, makes Khomeini stifling so she makes the policies and the implementation of Islamic law in Iran. And when she had returned the Khomeini considers Iran an Islamic society, Iran's population yet own, such as Marjane look exactly as the restraints of life, until Marjane give a protest through her shirt, 'Punk Is not Dead' she said.

As she gets older, Marjane's boldness causes her parents to worry over her continued safety. And so, at age fourteen, Unfettered life in Iran makes Marjane's parents send her to Austria, but anyway, it takes away to return she from Iran to make a standalone personal Marjane before she actually grow emotionally. Vulnerable and alone in a strange land, she endures the typical ordeals of a teenager. In addition, Marjane has to combat being equated with the religious fundamentalism and extremism she fled her country to escape. Over time, she gains acceptance, and even experiences love, but after high school she finds herself alone and horribly homesick.Though it means putting on the veil and living in a tyrannical society, Marjane decides to return to Iran to be close to her family. After a difficult period of adjustment, she enters art school, married and get divorce, all the while continuing to speak out against the hypocrisy she witnesses. At age 24, she realizes that while she is deeply Iranian, she cannot live in Iran. She then makes the heartbreaking decision to leave her homeland for France, optimistic about her future, shaped indelibly by her past.

I think as society we have continuing putting up boundaries and constructing ideas of "ingroups and outgroups", it is important to realize and understand the effects on the present. We may be fighting for the future, but are we looking ahead before looking to those beside us. Her movie excludes no one and doesn't place strong judgments on any particular group, though opinions are voiced. This is not a story of who was right, and who was gained or who was suffered the most tragically. On the contrary, Persepolis is a movie of the importance of being aware of ourselves and understanding the consequences of change.
